On January 6, 2022, Fred Morrow passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.  Fred adopted the Pokot people with his heart as soon as he heard about them.   He gave the people of the Amaya area four wells and several other projects.  He is very missed by all.
A Great Friend of Amaya
Well for high school.  Primary also has well.  If no well water would have to be carried from nearby small river.
Girls dorm.  Foundation provided bunk beds, drapers for windows, solar panels, solar lighting.
High school classrooms by govt.  We provided solar panels and lighting and desks for students. Flag pole and flag.
About half mile from school older building remodeled and  furniture put in studio rooms.
Dining hall and kitchen dedicated to the memory of Fred Morrow.

No electricity in area.  Photocopier and generator.,
Amaya High School Projects
Koloa Food and Water
Because of severe drought provided corn maize for people for 9 months.
Villagers were getting water by digging holes in dry river bed.  Well installed with solar electricity.
Hard working people of Kolowa that cleared land for gardens.  Started seedlings and nurtured as they grew.
Drinking water for the families.
Great success.  People now self sufficient with many different vegetables.  Sell excess at local market.
 2024 Newest Projects:  Shelters for students sitting on rocks studying under trees.
Early March 2024.  Site for first shelter.   East of Kinyang.  Students sitting on rocks to learn.

Oh my! Site is remote area. Delivering building supplies   to the site on modern Kenya highway.
Man in picture is former student we taught at Churo Secondary School in 2000.  Now a pastor that helps us with projects.
School had one block classroom.  Shelter was added to end of block classroom.
School cook had no kitchen.  Cooked in open hot area. So, we built a small kitchen!
Another modern Kenya Highway.  This is to Kulol.

Completed shelter.  Metal wall in middle making 2 rooms.  No walls on outside and ground floor.  One room will be used on Sundays for church.

Truck being loaded in Marigat with supplies to build shelter 4.  Chemasyan about 4 hours away.  About several kilometers from Chemasyan the road was wiped out by flooding.  Could not reach Chemasysn.  See what the Chemasysn people did in the next slide.
Villages carried all the supplies by hand for 3 hours over several kilometers to reach site.
